It
is hard to believe that the 2006/07 season marks the 10 year
anniversary of the moment a young Ben Christopher Cohen aged
17 years ran out to face Treorchy. A chance for the young
academy apprentice to stake his claim for the number eleven
green, black and gold jersey which for the last 10 years he
has made his own.
Who could have imagined at that point
what lay ahead for that young man? The early milestones on
the journey were hardly a walk in the park: A broken ankle
after only a few games was a massive setback and much worse
followed in the tragic death of Ben’s father.
Such set backs
could have finished young careers, but this simply made Ben
even more determined to succeed. An England call up aged 21
and Six Nations top scorer at his first go, European Cup winner,
grand slammer and ultimately World champion.
Have a browse through
our plans, celebrate with us, the extraordinary career of our
loyal, tenacious resilient, brave, World and European Champion … Ben
Cohen.
To celebrate Ben’s career in true ‘World
Cup Winner’ style, we have created a array of truly unique
sporting events and dinners for you to attend.
